Description

Mail for Exchange provides high performance, integrated mail protection against virus threats, spam, and other unwanted content for Exchange 2000/2003 servers. It includes hourly virus updates using Rapid Release which enable organizations to respond quickly to new threats. Its Mass-Mailer Cleanup feature automatically eliminates not just attachments but entire messages infected with mass-mailer worms. Symantecs extensible NAVEXTM antivirus technology defends against new and known viruses, while attachment and subject line blocking provides hour-zero protection against emerging threats. It includes basic spam tools like anti-spam heuristics, custom filtering rules, real-time blacklists and sender and recipient whitelists. Unwanted content can be filtered by message characteristics such as subject line, attachment type, message size, and body text. It incorporates rules-based content filtering to prevent unwanted content from enteringand confidential information from leavingthe network. With integrated functionality, virus definitions can be deployed enterprise-wide without stopping scan services or incurring server downtime. Providing full support for Exchange 2003, including the VS API 2.5 and SCL functionality, the Mail can be centrally managed through a multi-server console, enabling simultaneous updates to all Exchange server settings across the enterprise.
