Description

IBM Home Page Reader for Windows V3.0 Program Package -- U.S. English IBM Home Page Reader for Windows Version 3.0, an IBM Independence Series product, provides spoken Web access for blind and visually impaired users. By combining the capabilities of IBM's text-to-speech synthesizer and Internet Explorer, Home Page Reader reads aloud Web-based information just as it is presented on the computer screen. The full range of Web information is provided in a logical, clear, and comprehensive manner. The power and robust features of Home Page Reader enable blind or visually impaired users to quickly and independently view TV listings, read newspapers, place online orders, search the Internet, e-mail family and friends, and even read Web pages in different languages. The user interacts with the computer simply by using a mouse, standard Windows control keys, or the numeric keypad. Leveraging the power of voice, Home Page Reader takes Internet access for blind and visually impaired users to a new level. Home Page Reader is the voice of the World Wide Web.
